Cheung Man Ho
Manho Cheung graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University. He is interested in the inter-relationship between the makers and the users of pottery. His works are “Plain and pure” which show the original texture of clay. Cheung keeps his style very simple and realistic yet with special glazes and distinctive brushstrokes on his works which always give them an unique character.
"Breakthrough" is a figurative work which the crab claws are breaking through the sand. Manho’s works used to be functional-wares rather than figurative and sculptural works. For Manho, this creation is also a challenge to himself and breaks through his own inherent comfort zone.
