Artwork Statement
I have been practicing on throwing for over a decade. I would like to challenge myself to explore the aspect of non-functional sculpture objects. Pushing, pitching, pulling the ball clay through my fingertips gives me a sense of comfort and excitement. Life could be overwhelming sometimes. I could find some peace of mind while I am creating. My inspiration comes from my dream and the long walk. Through the long walk allows me to observe the surrounding, I can discover many details from the nature.
My current work is to capture the peacefulness and the calmness surrounded by the absence of sounds. This is a new long journey for me to discover the essence of non-functional objects in order to express myself.
